About Ken

Hello, my name is Ken Proctor and I am the Libertarian candidate for U.S. Congress here in Michigan’s 7th District. I was born in Lansing and lived in Sebewa Michigan before moving to Lake Odessa where I attended Lakewood H.S. After graduating I joined the U.S. Army as an Infantryman and became a Visual Tracker on a Combat Tracker Team in Viet Nam. While in Viet Nam I was awarded several medals including the Bronze Star. I worked for GM for 35 years, starting out on “the line”, and eventually becoming a Machine Repair / Machinist in Skilled Trades. While working for GM I also earned a degree in Industrial Technologies from Lansing Community College. My education and desire to learn continues to this day. In 2010, I was the Libertarian candidate for Governor of Michigan, coming in third in a five-person race. I live near Charlotte in Eaton County.
